D Festival 2026: IDLES & Boris Brejcha at Lake Dojran
D Festival, North Macedonia's biggest open-air, runs 26-28 June 2026 on Lake Dojran with IDLES, Boris Brejcha, DJ Premier and Destruction.
D Festival, billed as North Macedonia’s biggest open-air event, returns to Lake Dojran on 26-28 June 2026. The 2026 line-up is genre-spanning: British post-punk band IDLES, techno headliner Boris Brejcha, hip-hop legend DJ Premier and thrash-metal veterans Destruction all top the bill across three days by the lake in the country’s far southeast.
When and where
The festival takes over the shore of Lake Dojran, in North Macedonia’s southeastern corner near the town of Dojran and the regional hub of Strumica, on 26, 27 and 28 June 2026. It is a lakeside, open-air affair - closer to the borders with Greece than to the capital - so it pairs naturally with a trip through the country’s quieter southeast rather than the usual Ohrid-Skopje circuit.
Who is playing
Three nights, four very different headliners. IDLES bring raucous live energy, Boris Brejcha anchors the electronic side with his high-tech minimal techno, DJ Premier represents classic boom-bap hip-hop, and Destruction keep the heavier crowd happy. Sets are spread across the festival’s stages - the Main, Mosquito and Waves stages - so the programme runs from headline rock and metal to club-night techno after dark.
Getting there and staying
Lake Dojran sits well off the main tourist track, so plan transport in advance: check our getting around guide and consider a car rental, which makes the southeast far easier to reach. For timing and logistics, our trip planning section covers when to come and how to combine stops.
Make a trip of it
Coming from abroad? Most visitors fly into Skopje (SKP) and drive south. If you would rather build the festival into a longer loop, browse our North Macedonia routes - and if you have extra days, the lakes and old town of Ohrid are an easy add-on to the west.
